Pre-Litigation Mediation covers a wide range of cases like domestic cases. Pre-Litigation Desk has been established in Bangalore Mediation Centre in the year 2014. The formal recognition of the same was received in the case of K.Srinivas Rao - VS - A. Deepa, reported in (2013) 5 SCC 226. Since then, BMC has taken up Pre-Litigation (Matrimonial) Cases directly from the Party / Parties and some cases through Police Stations and so far settled 73 cases.
